Both were afraid to demand realistic sacrifices of the American people. The screened questions from the audience were not the least bit penetrating, and neither candidate bothered to answer anyway. Brokaw's moderation was appallingly weak. Suggested changes: 1) Schedule one debate with the third party candidates; Nader and Barr would provide more critical, less pandering answers, forcing the major party guys to step up. 2) Have referees put candidates in "time out" for 5 minutes if they don't directly answer a question. 3) Put a diversely opinionated group of real people in the "town hall" and don't screen their questions.</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Ken</dc:creator><pubDate>Wed, 08 Oct 2008 18:35:16 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
